Jay played and starred for Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City, Indiana. Senior year, he led the Patriots to their first state championship (3A).

Jay spent his entire 5-year collegiate career at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee (2001-2005). In the process, he set more than 20 school records and never missed a game due to injury.

Jay joined the Chicago Bears in 2009 and looks forward to a new era with one of the NFL's oldest and most storied franchises.
